It’s all about you
Time to get inspired amigo with a harsh dose of reality
Got a bit of inspiration this morning from watching one of my mentors chatting about putting yourself first more often
Think about it
Too often you put your work first, family, girlfriend, boyfriend, kids etc.
They all come ahead of you
You put 40 hours (at least) of work in a week, stressing about your boss’s big company and their €€€
You put hours into your significant other – calling them, textin them, snapchattin’ them and just trying to make them feel good and to justify that you really care about them
You give the world to your kids (if you don’t have them now, be prepared to do this) and you would give them the moon and the stars just to see them happy
^^^ all that is cool and sometimes very very necessary
BUT
If you don’t take care of yourself first
You’re f*cked hombre
It’s the only place you have to live (cheesey line but worth thinkin bou)
You gotta be SELFISH sometimes and put in your OWN hours
Not work hours, not relationship hours
Me, myself and I hours (love that film by they way, Jim Carrey you mad, beautiful man)
That may involve chill out or self improvement hours
Chill out can involve some de-stressing, solving problems or just a lil self reflection about yourself (emphasise yourself)
Self improvement can be making sure you don’t get stressed again, education or doing something as simple as going to the gym
Now I’m going to be honest here (and this may sting)
But a massive big chunk of people who get fat/unhealthy do not spend enough time on themselves
They’re stressed about work, run around after people and don’t INVEST in themselves
They grab takeaways, stay awake with coffee
And before they know it they’re 2 stone overweight and they don’t know how it happened
So here’s what you got to do to FIX it
Take an hour out of everyday for YOU
No work, no social media and no phone
Go to the gym and belt an hour out for you
Not for your significant other, not for your kids and not for your work
For YOU
And sneakily it will influence better times with your partner/family and your work
You won’t be falling asleep at the office or have the sex drive of a car with no engine
Instead you’ll be productive as hell and bangin like a shed door on a windy night (just after getting that line off a client – gold)
So put that hour as a priority in your day
It’s all about you – número uno
